Galle 22 Nov : .The West Indies have drafted Shai Hope to replace debutant Jeremy Solozanos concussion.

He will not be taking part in any further Test against Sri Lanka at Galle Stadium.Cricket West Indies (CWI), via its Twitter account, confirmed the substitution."Jeremy Solozano suffered a concussion.

Solozano will be returning to the hotel and will undergo the necessary protocol.CWI Monday stated that Solozano will be replaced by Shai Hope in #MenInMaroon#SLvWI.

CWI stated earlier that Solozano would remain in hospital over the night and that the scans of Solozano, 26, had not shown any structural damage.Solozano was hit in the head when he was fielding forward at short leg.Solozano needed to be transported to the hospital.Solozano was unable to continue on the field due to the force of the hit.It happened during day one at Galle Stadiums Test match.Roston Chase delivered a brief delivery to Dimuth Karunaratne, the captain of Sri Lanka.

Karunaratne responded by striking a strong pull shot from the backfoot in direction Solozano.Solozano was unable to dodge the ball.

He was then hit in the head with his helmet grille, and the helmets rear end fell off.Solozano remained still on the ground with his physio taking care of him.Solozano was subsequently taken off the field by medical personnel and transported in an ambulance to the hospital.Sri Lanka is 349/6 after electing to bat first.

Captain Karunaratne made 147 runs off 300 balls.Dhananjaya De Silva provided good support, scoring 61 runs off 95 balls.
