Simu Liu relates his first script-reading session

Simu Liu was moved to tears by the films first director Destin Daniel Cretton during the movies narrationThe actor was overwhelmed by emotions because of Shang-Chi’s strong connection with his family.

Liu shared his story and said that Destin did a wonderful job of explaining the story to him before I actually read it.Then, when it was finally time for me to read it, it made me cry.Because of the intimate connection between Shang Chi and Shang Chis characters and his families, I wept.I realized that this movie was, at the end, all about my family.

It was heartbreaking to see an Asian super hero doing amazing things for the sake of saving the world.As an Asian fan and actor it was a very special moment.He added, "Just incredible.
