In a shocking development, SS Rajamouli’s upcoming magnum opus film RRR has already broken many records before its release.The movie’s theatrical rights alone in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana fetched Rs 215 Crore, beating Bahubali 2 rights (Rs 160 Crore) by a huge margin.
According to the latest industry reports, STAR MAA has bagged the satellite rights (in all languages) for the film for astronomical prices.
Reportedly, STAR MAA has inked the deal to pay a whopping Rs 260 crores for the satellite rights.
If these reports are true, this amounts to more than 100% of the film’s budget.Trade pundits predict that RRR will cross Rs 2000 Crores with ease at the box office worldwide.
Acknowledging the release of Rajamouli’s film, Bollywood directors and producers have postponed their second week January releases to fourth week, and the first week of February.
Everyone is hoping SS Rajamouli will release the first look Ram Charan and Jr NTR on their birthdays 27th March, and 20th May respectively.
