Shocker: Explosion at Crackers godown kills 13

Here comes another bad news for Andhra Pradesh people.

At least 13 people were feared killed in a blast in a firecrackers unit in Andhra Pradeshs East Godavari district Monday.

The accident took place in a firecrackers manufacturing unit cum godown in Vakathippa village of Uppada Kothapalli mandal near Kakinada on Monday afternoon.More than 30 workers were working at the time of accident.

With many present during the explosion, loss of lives is more.Firecrackers were being manufactured illegally in the building, Police said.The incident took place around 3 pm.Fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to douse the flames.Rescue workers were seen shifting the injured to nearby hospitals AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu expressed his shock at the accident and offered condolences to the families.

He directed fire department to put down the fire immediately.
