Shimla, Nov 24, : Himachal Pradesh Urban Development minister Suresh Bhardwaj stated Wednesday that the Sustainable Development Goals Urban Index (SDGs Urban Index) was ranked first by the NITI-AayogThe index included 56 urban areas to measure SDGs indicators related to ending poverty, zero hunger and good health and well being.
Shimla is the first rank, with 75.50 out of 100 marks for this year.Minister said that the SDG Urban Indexs statistical methodology is based on the internationally accepted methodology of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN).
The index includes a comprehensive list of 77 indicators that cover 46 global SDG targets across 15 SDGs.Ease of Living Index ranking, which was released earlier this year, also ranked Shimla as the most liveable city in the country.
