Shakib has withdrawn from sponsorship with Betwinner in response to BCB ultimatum

Dhaka 11 August : Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has made the decision to end his controversial sponsorship contract with the company Betwinner News, the Bangladesh Cricket Boards (BCB) cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus said on Thursday.

According to Yunus the all-rounder notified BCB BCB of his decision in an email late on Thursday night "Shakib is announcing just prior to (now) that he has ended his agreement with the business.He stated that any social media post related to the sponsorship will be removed," Yunus told ESPNcricinfo.

In accordance with the current laws of Bangladesh There are strict prohibitions against establishments that allow gambling.Allowing gambling companies to operate is in contradiction to the law and the constitution of the country.
