Tollywood’s super hit film ‘Jersey‘ is all set to be remade in Hindi and Shahid Kapoor has been roped in to reprise the role done by Nani in the original version.Mrunal Thakur will be playing the female lead.
The Hindi remake will also be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who had wielded the megaphone for the Telugu version.Recently Shahid Kapoor has also wrapped up the shoot of this upcoming film.
Now the latest update is that this film has now locked its release date for this year’s Diwali season.Shahid Kapoor took to Instagram to share a new still from the movie and also announced the release date of ‘Jersey’.
He wrote saying, “JERSEY releasing in theatres this DIWALI 5th November 2021.The triumph of the human spirit.
A journey I am so very proud of.This ones for the TEAM ….”
In the still Shahid can be seen holding the cricket bat donning the Cricket uniform.Noted producer Dil Raju, Aman Gill, and S Naga Vamsi are producing this film in Hindi while it is being presented by Mega producer Allu Aravind.Pankaj Kapur is also seen essaying a crucial role in this sports drama.Stay tuned for more updates!
