New Delhi, Nov 24, : , Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan ordered an inquiry against a senior secretary of the Cabinet Division, Dawn news reported.He posted “objectionable remarks” on a social media platform against the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf party (PTI).
According to the Establishment Division’s statement of allegations, Hammad Shamimi posted a comment to a social media platform that was tantamount misconduct under the Civil Service (Efficiency and Discipline), Rules, 2020.

The Establishment Division’s notification reproduces Shamimi’s alleged Urdu post.Shamimi had written: “A similarity among the PTI and Taliban is that both are figuring how to run government only after they assume power.” Aabpara is the center of hope for them both.

According to Dawn news, Shamimi was also notified by the Establishment Division Monday.

On August 25, the Establishment Division issued a notice — a copy is available with Dawn.com – that prohibited government employees from participating in any media platform without the government’s permission.

Notification stated that the instructions were not meant to discourage constructive and positive use by government organisations of social media for engaging people to solicit feedback about a government policy, suggestions for improving service delivery, and resolution of complaints.

“But such an organization shall maintain their social media channels continuously or frequently in order to remove offensive, inappropriate, and objectionable remarks.”
