Covid-19’s pandemic-induced supply obstacles and healthy demand have triggered the global shortage.

The phenomenon can be attributed to the rapid rise in personal electronics, such as laptops and cellphones, during the current pandemic.

Technically, semiconductors are essential in producing internal combustion engines.

These semiconductors are an essential part of every type of sensor and control in any vehicle.

In recent years, the scarcity has led to longer waiting times and higher prices.

Shashank Srivastava, Maruti Suzuki India’s Senior Executive Director for Sales and Marketing, stated that although the market is dynamic, it’s still positive.

Srivastava stated that although the supply of semiconductors has improved in recent months, the situation remains dynamic.

From 40 percent in September to 60% in October, November will see an average of 85 percent production.

He maintained, however that the industry continues to suffer from shortages despite the improvement in supply.

In October, the company produced 134,579 units, which is 26 percent less than in 2020.

Srivastava also stated that India is currently studying the possibility of flex-fuel as well as other powertrains.

He also stated that CNG models were doing extraordinarily well.

Srivastava spoke out about the company’s marketing efforts and said that subscribers are more inclined to subscribe than they have for Smart Finance.

A subscription program allows customers to rent a new car, but not actually purchase it.

The terms stipulate that customers who avail the service must pay a monthly subscription fee which covers all maintenance costs and the insurance required for the entire tenure.

He also stated that the company had received nearly 10,000 reservations for its compact hatchback, the ‘New Celerio.

The compact hatchback was launched by the major automobile manufacturer earlier this month.

It is being called India’s most fuel-efficient petrol vehicle.

According to the company, the new Celerio has a fuel consumption of only 26.68 km/liter.It is priced at Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 6.94 lakh.

The next-generation Dual Jet and Dual VVT K-Series engines are used to power the engine.
