Chennai, Nov 28, : Selvaraghavan is busy directing Dhanush-starrer “Naane Varuven” and on Sunday announced that the style he was using for this film was something he used almost 18 years ago in his critically acclaimed film “Pudhupettai”. The director posted the following on Instagram: “After 18 years (‘Pudhupettai”) where I’ve done few handheld photos, going to complete handheld film in #naanevaruven, trying my frames with Yamini Yagnamurthy.”
Yamini Yagnamurthy is the cinematographer for the film.The director also tagged Easyrig, which is a brand that makes cameras that shift the camera weight from one’s shoulders to one’s hips.
Selvaraghavan used the handheld technique only for a few scenes in ‘Pudhuppetai,’ but it appears that he will be using the technique more extensively in ‘Naane Varuven.
Fans eagerly await ‘Naane Varuven’.
Selvaraghavan and his brother Dhanush have delivered critically acclaimed films such as ‘Kadhal Kondein”, ‘Pudhupettai, and ‘Mayakkam Enna.
