Saudi-led airstrikes strike Houthi-controlled military bases in Yemen: media

Sanaa : Dec 1, 2017: According to local media reports, warplanes of Saudi-led coalition launched airstrikes against military camps in Yemen controlled by the Houthi militiaAccording to the Houthi-controlled Saba news agency, the airstrikes struck the al-Daylami base which is located adjacent to Sanaa International Airport and the armored first Division camp.

The camp is surrounded by residential neighborhoods.

Both camps are located in Sanaas northern part.According to Xinhua news agency, powerful explosions could be heard throughout the capital after the airstrikes were carried out on Tuesday morning.

Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya TV quoted a statement by the coalition stating that the airstrikes were directed at depots and workshops for storing, assembling and maintaining ballistic missiles in both camps of Sanaa.Recent cross-border drone and missile attacks by the Houthi militia, which is Iran-backed, against Saudi cities has been intensified.
