Salman Khan recalls his balding for ‘Tere Naam.

Mumbai, Nov 25, : Superstar Salman Khan spoke out on the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa show about how everyone had told him to not do the film Tere Naam, but he continued to do it.He also revealed that he had shaved his head for the 2003 movie.

Sunil Manchanda, a producer of Tere Naam and a dear friend of mine, approached me to tell me that I would have to go bald in order to portray my character.I wasnt sure, as I was already filming at the time.

I also remember being sick one day and the director of the other movie urging me to go to the shoot.Salman was nostalgic about Contestant Neelanjana’s performance to the title song of Tere Naam.

He recalled how he shaved off his head to make his character more human "I impulsively went into the washroom and shaved off my hair because of irritation.Sunil ji called me the next day and informed me that I had shaved and was willing to sign up for Tere Naam.

Although everyone was against me making this film, I decided to take it on regardless of all the disagreements." he said.

He also mentioned that Himesh Rehammiya had given him 13 songs to film, but he couldn’t take them all.Salman said that "I recall Himesh and me being in Galaxy discussing the movie and when he heard the entire plot, he immediately came with a song.It was the title track to Tere Naam, which I immediately locked.

Its amazing! He instantly gave me four to five songs on the spot.We couldnt refuse any of them "This guy literally came up 13 songs, none could be rejected.

We had to choose seven songs because the film required that much.We couldnt wait to hear the ending and were able to lock it in by hearing the first "mukhra".
