Moscow 10 Aug : Russian authorities raided the residence of journalist Marina Ovsyannikova in the hope of being accused of discrediting Russias army.
Ovsyannikova who has been fined several times due to her critique of Russias war against Ukraine is now facing a lengthy prison sentence.According to Zakhvatov the house searches could be linked to the protest Ovsyannikova held last week in which she displayed a banner with the words "Putin is murderer, his soldiers fascists" in the centre of Moscow within the reach of the Kremlin.
