After SSC, rural students lose interest in science stream: Goa CM

Panaji, 28 December : Students from rural Goa are not interested in Science after matriculation.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated that this was due to the need to stimulate curiosity in students living in remote villages about the subjectStudents in class X are not encouraged to choose science but Commerce or Arts if they achieve average marks of 50 percent.

The student does not have to be bad at studying.Sawant stated that science stream is more difficult for people who earn 80 percent or higher.

" Rural students have less interest in science as a result.It is important to encourage interest among rural students in science.
