Released: Rs 20K Crore under Kisan Samman Nicki, PM emphasizes natural farming

New Delhi, January 1, : Prime Minister Narendra Modi released Saturdays 10th installment of more than Rs 20,900 crore in financial benefits to 10 million farmers as part of the PM Kisan Nidhi YojanaEach eligible family receives Rs.

6,000 annually in three installments under the scheme.The Prime Minister released equity grants of over Rs 14 Crore to 351 farmers producer companies (FPOs) in a virtual program where hundreds of farmers participated from all across India.

In February 2020, 10,000 farmer producer organisations (FPOs), were formed and promoted.The budget for this scheme was Rs 6.866 crore till 2027/28.According to Prime Minister, FPOs are beneficial to small farmers because they offer greater bargaining power and facilitate large-scale trade.

They also provide opportunities for innovation and risk management.FPOs are helping farmers produce organic, honey, and bamboo.We still need to import many things in this country.

This will make us more atmanirbhar and also allow our farmers to earn more.Modi listed his achievements in 2021, and stated that the world has seen the great achievements possible when Indians work together.Modi also listed 1.45 million vaccine doses and Olympic performance by Indian athletes, the formation of startups, and Indias global leadership in climate change.Modi encouraged all farmers to switch to natural agriculture.

Modi also reiterated his vocal to local mantra that would benefit Indians as well as give Indian goods and services a global identity.The Prime Minister stated that "In the new year and in Azadi Kal Amrit Mahotsav it is innovation that will help me tide over the difficult times.

" He also appealed for people to clean their environment.Modi used Sanskrit mantras and slokas in his speech.He also described their meanings in Hindi.

The Prime Minister met representatives from FPOs in Punjab, Uttarakhand Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Rajasthan before his speech.This interaction was particularly memorable because it involved Veer Pandi Kalanjiyam Jevit, a Tamil Nadu FPO run completely by women.

Two films on FPOs, and one on Natural Farming were shown as part of the program.Narendra Singh Tomar, the Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, described Modi earlier as a modern-day Bhagirath who provided water in dry Gujarat.

Tomar mentioned that Modi was a chief minister for thirteen years, which helped him understand the problems that the state faces when dealing with the Centre.This helped him to plan better schemes after he became Prime Minister.
