Mumbai, 23 Nov : , Rohit Purohit is a model-turned-actor who will play the role of Dr Vikrant in the new show “Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii”. After two years of being on this series, Rohit makes a return to television.
Rohit opens up to discussing the multiple shades and layers of his role.
His character in ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji” shares his thoughts: “Dr Vikrant is ambitious and likes everything under control.Vikrant was raised in patriarchal families and believes that women should be able to focus more on their family than her career.This role was challenging because of the many layers to his character.
It is intense, and very different to what I’ve done in the past.
He elaborates how he feels connected to his role, and shares similarities with Dr Vikrant: “I feel that I can relate with him on some matters.Especially his desire to succeed and work hard.” His male ego is the opposite of me.
Further, the actor talks about the show’s concept and states that “Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii” has a compelling storyline that revolves around the gender gap in the workplace.This topic is rarely addressed.As each character develops, viewers will be challenged to think about and discuss this important topic.”I hope that the viewers love our show, and give it their best wishes.”
