Republicans consolidate their hold on the legislatures of battleground US states

Washington, Nov 29, : Republicans are locking in newly-gerrymandered maps to the legislatures of several US battleground state, The New York Times reported in a recent report.

According to the report, this redistricting cycle "builds upon a political trend which accelerated in 2011 when Republicans in swing state including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan drew highly-gerrymandered state legislative map."
