After receiving wide critical and popular acclaim from all over the world, the Malayalam film ‘Drishyam 2’ is now getting remade into Telugu as ‘Drishyam 2’.Jeetu Joseph, who directed the original, is helming this project as well.
Venkatesh, Meena, Naresh, Nadiya, Krithika, and Esther Anil are reprising their roles from the first part.
The remake went on floors recently in Hyderabad.
It was earlier reported that Shamna Kasim aka Poorna is going to play a key role in this remake.Now the latest update in the film circles is that Rana Daggubati is going to do a small cameo in the film.
A source close to the movie unit informed the portal that the makers approached the ‘Baahubali’ star to reprise Murali Gopy’s role.An official confirmation about the same is awaited.
Previously it was also speculated that Samantha Akkineni will also be part of the sequel wherein she and Rana will be portrayed as a couple.The producers are planning to release ‘Drishyam 2’ in July this year.On the work front, Venkatesh also has two more films in hand, ‘Narappa’ and ‘F3’.‘Narappa’ is gearing up for release on May 14th while ‘F3’ has finished a couple of schedules and will be out on August 27th.
