Chennai, Nov 27, : Ramya Krishnan, a veteran actress, will host the fifth season.She will be taking over from Kamal Haasan who is recovering from Covid. Kamal Haasan tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently being treated in a private hospital in Chennai.
The reality show’s producers released a promo on Saturday that featured Kamal Haasan speaking from the hospital.
Ramya Krishnan was introduced by the actor as a friend who offered to help him run the show without a break.
The promo in which Ramya Krishnan was presented had the background music of ‘Baahubali.
The blockbuster’s Sivagaami role is a highlight of the film’s success.
Soon after Kamal’s positive test for Covid was announced, social media was abuzz with speculation about who would host the show in his absence.
Rumours suggest that Kamal Haasan was approached by the producers to host the weekend episodes.Rumours also suggested that Vijay Sethupathi and Ramya Krishnan were also approached for the same purpose.
The speculation was ended on Saturday when the promo showed that Ramya Krishnan would host it.
