Jaipur 31 Aug : Rajasthan recorded the most number of cases of rape in the entire country in 2021, as per recent data released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).According to the statistics the crime rate in the country has increased by over 19 percent over last year (2020).
While it is ranked second to Uttar Pradesh in overall crime against women but is still ahead in the rape case.
Of the total of 31,677 cases of rape reported in the nation, 6,337 cases were in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh reported 2,845.In the year 2020 the number of cases registered of sexual assault in Rajasthan included 5,310 which was an increase of 19.34 percent increase in 2021.
The total of 4,28,278 instances of crimes against women were recorded across the nation in 2021.Although Uttar Pradesh tops with 56,083 cases but it is followed by Rajasthan where 40,738 cases have been recorded.
In the previous year, Maharashtra ranked third with 39,526 cases, and West Bengal fourth with 35,884 cases.
After the data of NCRB were released The BJP took on the Ashok Gehlot government in the state.
The government of the Gehlot government Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje stated: “It is shameful that 6,337 cases of rape have been recorded in the state in the past year.This is the most convincing evidence of the inefficiency of the Congress government.
Morale of criminals in the state is so high that the law and order system has fallen to the Congress government.The state government must remember that Rajasthan is recognized through the love of daughters and sisters,” she said.
BJP state president Satish Poonia also criticized the state government for putting it the top in the category of women crime.Poonia stated that in order to save his chair the chief minister has lost sight of the obligation of keeping the law and order.
The rapes in the state have now become a daily issue.There is no place where the respect of women secure.
This half-population will teach the government in question, he added.
Additionally, Rajasthan police, on its Twitter account, said: “There could be several reasons for the rise in the amount of incidents in the police statistics of the state.These include a variety of initiatives that are geared towards the citizens.More instances are reported because of e-FIR, women helpdesk and so on.”

The numbers of the report for 2021 published by the Congress clearly reveal the lack of concern of the Congress government of Rajasthan towards the security of women,” she added.
