New Delhi, Sep 6 : The Union Agriculture Ministry on Tuesday raised the limitation of 25 quintals to purchase of moong and urad under the Price Support Scheme (PSS) in the summer season 2021-22 for farmers in Madhya Pradesh, to 40 quintals per farmer for the dayFollowing the directives of Minister of Agriculture Narendra Singh Tomar the exemption limit was set to Madhya Pradesh farmers.
Madhya Pradesh Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Kamal Patel met Tomar and discussed the challenges that farmers in the state face.
He explained that while selling their moong and urad crops under the PSS when farmers have more of summer moong with them, as per PSS regulations for registration, they will face issues because of the purchase limit of 25 quintals per day for each farmer.This issue has been solved with immediate effect following the directives to the officials from Tomar Then, the relaxation was approved by the government the Ministry stated.kvm/v.
