Chandigarh 3rd September : Punjab government has allocated funds in the amount of 8 crore rupees in this fiscal year to departments that deal with social and welfare work being carried out by non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
He stated that the apex panel has worked in the most important sectors such as vocational training, education and social justice health animal husbandry rural development, social security and nutrition programs for children, to ensure that the work can be carried out effectively.Janjua stated that out of the total amount of the amount of Rs 8 crore in the budget, the sum of 3.96 crore was allotted for social security, women and child development The amount was the amount was 2.50 crore to animal husbandry and 59 lakh to health and sanitation, the amount of Rs 44 lakh was allocated for panchayat development and rural development and panchayat, Rs 40 lakh to empowerment, social justice and minorities, and 11 lakh for education in schools.The Chief Secretary further instructed to assess the work of the non-governmental organizations with the intention of streamlining their activities to avoid duplication of work carried out by different NGOs in different programs of the government.
He stressed that there must be a strong synergy among their work and coordination with the departments to reach the aim of socio-economic advancement of the targeted segment of society.The Principal Secretary Planning and Animal Husbandry Vikas Pratap informed the Chief Secretary about allocation of funds in conjunction with specifics of the financial years performance of various departments.vg/uk .
