New Delhi, Aug 17 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his Cabinet colleagues on Wednesday went to a special screening of the TV serial “Swaraj: Bharat Ke Swatantrata Sangram Ki Samagra Gatha”. Modi was present at the screening, which started at 5 p.m.in the Balayogi auditorium in the Parliament House, along with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla as well as Cabinet ministers Amit Shah Anurag Thakur, Anurag Shah and Piyush Goyal, as well as BJP head J.P.Nadda, among others.
Ahead of time in the morning, Thakur was reported to media that Modi will be attending the screening of the teleserial with his Cabinet members.
Two episodes of the serial were presented to the Prime Minister as well as his team at the screening special to him and his colleagues.
The teleserial with 75 episodes, which was produced by Doordarshan is a tribute to the untold heroes of India’s struggle for freedom.
The first telecast of the series began on August 14th and will be aired on Sundays from 9 am until 10 am.
It is also made available in the nine languages of regional origin, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Oriya and Assamese as well as English.
The teleserial concentrates on lesser-known heroes of India’s struggle for freedom like Shivappa Nayaka, Rani Abbakka, Rani Gaidinliu and Tilka Majhi, among others.
