Prakash Padukone will receive the Badminton World Federation’s Lifetime Achievement Award

New Delhi : Prakash Padukone, a great Indian badminton player and champion of Indian badminton will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Badminton International Federation (BWF) this year.

His name had been submitted by the Badminton Association of India, (BAI), for this award.Padukone, a former World No.1 and first Indian World Championships gold medallist has greatly contributed to the sport.He was awarded the BAI Life Time Achievement Award in 2018.

BWF Council nominated Devender Singh as president of Haryana Badminton Association; SA Shetty as secretary general Maharashtra Badminton Association; Dr OD Sharma as vice-president and chairperson of Tournament Committee, and Manik Saha, former vice-president BAI.Alaknanda Ashok is President of Uttarakhand Badminton Association.She will be receiving the Women and Gender Equity Award.
