Sudha Bharadwaj will soon be released from jail after she has completed the bail formalities

Mumbai, Dec 8, 2008 : The Supreme Court rejected Sudha Bharadwajs plea against Bombay High Court verdict granting default bail to Sudha Bharadwaj on December 1, 2008.

She was released from prison once the bail formalities were completedA Special NIA Court ruled Wednesday that Bharadwaj can be released from prison after furnishing Rs 50,000 of surety.

He was granted default bail in the Koregaon Bhima–Elgar Parishad case.After spending more than three years in prison, the Special Court allowed her to submit a cash guarantee.

This enabled her to be released from the Byculla Womens Jail either today or tomorrow.According to the high court directions Special NIA Judge D.E Kothalikar also established the bail terms and conditions.She must live in Mumbai and not leave the city without permission.

The court rejected her plea to travel to Chhattisgarh or Delhi.She was also prohibited from speaking to the media about this case.

Pune Police arrested Bharadwaj on August 28, 2018, in connection to the Koregaon Bhima–Elgaar Parishad case.He was then charged with the stringent UAPA.
