New Delhi, December 29, : , As the UP Assembly elections approach, politics surrounding the recovery of large amounts of illegal cash and the purchase of perfume have become heated.The BJP has linked the money to the Samajwadi Party (SP), but the SP alleges that Piyush Jain, a businessman, is connected with the BJP. Akhilesh Yadav (Samajwadi Party President) claimed that unaccounted cash was being recovered by the BJP.Piyush Jain claimed the raid on his house was an act of mistaken identification because his name is identical to Pushparaj Jain (SP MLC).Yadav stated that demonitisation failed due to the discovery of the cash.
The BJP links the SP’s money to this perfume, which was launched in recent times by Samajwadi.
SP says that this is false and claims the fragrance was not launched by MLC’s brother.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Home Minister) and Amit Shah (Home Minister) both attacked the Samajwadi Party over this matter.
Modi referred in his speech to the Piyush Jain episode, and stated that people want to claim credit for everything that’s being done.
They are taking credit for the influx of suitcases stuffed with cash, he said.
He said this while speaking at an event in Kanpur.
Itr was the reference to perfumer Pampi jain’s launch of Samajwadi ‘itr’ last month.
According to the Prime Minister, the people of Uttar Pradesh know the truth now and they are closely monitoring every detail.
Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, launched a passionate attack against the Samajwadi Party, saying that ABCD was for SP.He said ABCD meant A, B, and H for Bhai-bhatija.C is for corruption, D, for dagna.
This ABCD has been wiped out by the BJP.Akhilesh Yadav felt uncomfortable when Piyush Jain was raided.”Who does this money belong?” He was addressing Hardoi rally when he inquired “Who is this money?”
Multiple financial agencies raided the premises of Piyush Jain, a Kanpur-based businessman.He was then arrested by DGGI pursuant to the GST Act.His premises were found with cash worth Rs 200 crore, gold bars and sandalwood oil.Officials from the DGCI have recovered sandalwood oil and 23kg gold worth Rs 6 crore.500 keys were also found.There are 18 locks.
