New Delhi, Nov 25, : , Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch BJP’s campaign to win the Uttarakhand assembly elections in December.Along with Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Manipur, the polls will be held next February-March.

A party leader stated that everything will be in place within the next few days.

Union Minister and BJP Election In-Charge for Uttarakhand Pralhad Singhi visited the state on Thursday.

He held a meeting with the party’s resources, manifesto, special programme committee and the ‘election committee’ to discuss preparations for the forthcoming polls.

“Joshi reviewed the poll preparations and discussed the upcoming programmes.A leader of Uttarakhand BJP said that he was satisfied with the state unit’s preparations, and advised that we should keep in touch with the people on ground.”

Joshi also presided over core group meetings in Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts of Uttarakhand.”Joshi asked party leaders to work with the BJP to win the next assembly elections by transferring the welfare schemes from the Centre and state governments to the people,” a party leader said.

The Prime Minister visited Uttarakhand earlier this month, on November 5.He laid the foundation stones for several key infrastructure projects in Kedarnath.Modi also reviewed the state’s ongoing infrastructure work and inspect the execution.”We are fully prepared to vote in the Assembly elections in Uttarakhand.All of us are working at the grassroots level in the state.People will support the BJP in the State.”

J P Nadda, chief of BJP, was recently in Uttarakhand for a two-day review of the party’s election readiness.Nadda attended several organisational meetings to assess the situation on the ground.Nadda visited the hill state in August to assess the BJP’s poll readiness.He attended about a dozen meetings.

Amit Shah, Union home minister, visited Uttarakhand last month and addressed a rally at Dehradun.

Shah also reviewed preparations for a meeting at Dehradun’s party state unit headquarters.Shah inaugurated the Mukhyamantri Kalyan Yojana, Uttarakhand government, during his visit.
