New Delhi, Nov 30, : , Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Sing Tomar responded to Opposition parties’ attacks on farmers’ issues.On Tuesday, Tomar said that Prime Minister NarendraModi “is and will continue to be committed towards farmers” Tomar spoke to IANS and said that the “historical works” done by Modi in the last seven years to boost agriculture and ensure the welfare of farmers were “never done” under the Congress government.
After the withdrawal of the three agricultural laws the Opposition parties are now requesting the enactment of MSP guarantee law and compensation for farmers who died during the agitation.
After the opposition had accused the Centre of only “showing its hand” over the farmers’ problems, the Union Minister responded.
