Afghan doctor kidnaps his daughter

Kabul, Nov 30, : A group of men kidnapped a girl belonging to a doctor near Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, Afghanistan, police saidQari Abdul Hai Abbid, senior police officer, stated that the kidnapping occurred on Monday morning.

An investigation was initiated into the matter.

Mohammad Dawod Rateb, the father of the kidnapped child, confirmed the incident by saying that "the eight-year-old Sedra was kidnapped today at around 7 a.m.local in an area near Balhika private schools." Rateb, who is responsible for the Balkh provincial health departments drug addiction section, stated that he had reported to police about the abduction and requested the early release of his daughter, Xinhua reported.

This is the second abduction case in Mazar-i-Shrif in the last two months.Some men had earlier kidnapped Mohamad Nader Almi, a well-known psychologist from Mazar-i-Sharif.
