She also said that Perth’s chances are 50-50.However, much will depend on the WA government’s exemptions on border control.
Five days after the conclusion of the fourth Test at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), the final Test against Joe Root-led England will be played.

However, due to strict border controls and mandatory quarantine rules in WA due the Covid-19 pandemic it is difficult for Perth to host the final Test.

Unless, of course, exceptions are made for the cricket party.

Christina Matthews said on Saturday that it was a matter of “whether cricket can meet those requirements or not.” “It’s possible that Cricket Australia (CA), has been a bit distracted over this past week. There is still a lot to be done in getting the Test here.

“One of the problems for cricket is the high level technology required around the broadcast and the large number of people needed around it.” It’s one thing to get the players in, but it’s quite another to get the broadcasters.

She stated that WA Cricket was forced to wait for the government’s relaxation of quarantine norms.Tasmania emerged as a strong contender in the event that Perth is unable to host Test. This was despite the state’s earlier interest.

The Test will be held at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart.

It will host several Big Bash League (BBL), and Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) matches in December and January.Canberra is Cricket Australia’s other option.

CA could also decide that the fourth and fifth Tests will be held at the SCG.
