Los Angeles, Aug 24 : The ‘Ant-Man’ actor Paul Rudd has joined the cast of “Only Murders in the Building’.Rudd will be a part of in the third season of the show after a cameo appearance as Broadway actor Ben Glenroy in Season 2 finale “I Know Who Did It’ according to ‘Variety’.It isn’t known if Rudd will be appearing in the form of a regular or recurring role, or in a guest capacity.
“Paul Rudd, who made an impressive entrance into the realm of our series at the conclusion of Season 2 playing Ben Glenroy, is someone we’re sure to want to learn more about and experience in our next season 3 — because he is the obvious source of many questions that are coming up and, as usual with our series, there are many twists are yet to be revealed!” Co-creator of the series John Hoffman said in a statement to “Variety’.
“Only Murders in the Building The story is the story of Charles (played by Steve Martin), Oliver (played by Martin Short) and Mabel (played by Selena Gomez), three unlikely friends who reside in the same house in New York City and share a passion of true crime.Until they are in the middle of an actual murder mystery and start an audiobook of their own.
As per ‘Variety’ Season 2 sees them race to uncover the identity of the murderer of Arconia Board President Bunny Folger (played by Jayne Houdyshell).
However there are three (unfortunate) complications arise The trio is involved in Bunny’s murder.
They are now the subject of an unrelated podcast, and have to confront with an array of New York neighbours who believe they all committed murder.Season 3 was approved in July.
“Variety” adds the information that Martin co-created the show with Hoffman.Martin, Hoffman, Short and Gomez are the executive producers along with Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal and Jamie Babbit.Rudd’s upcoming role in “Only Murders in the Building’ brings the actor with Selena Gomez, as they starred together in the Netflix film “The Essentials of Caring’.
