Mumbai, Nov 29, : , Major brands are lined up to sign actor Pankaj Tripathi as an endorsement deal.However, the actor refuses recklessly to sign deals because he feels he owes a moral obligation to his fans and to the society. His characters Kaleen Bhaiyya (“Mirzapur”), Sultan («Gangs of Wasseypur»), Rudra (“Stree”) and many other resonated with the audience.
He endorses only the products he uses, and only those products that have been approved by the governing body.Pankaj said, “I am an actor, not a salesman.” I am also a responsible citizen in my country.Millions of people in my country can hear what I say and do today.Why would I do it just for the sake? I have always been true to my craft, and I want to be the same to my followers and fans.”
The actor maintains his strong stance that stems out of a strong set ethics and adds, “These people watched my films, valued my roles, and made me who i am today.” It is my ethical responsibility as an actor to endorse only products that I use personally or are not harmful to society.It is easy to be lured by this glittering world.My solid upbringing has not allowed me to slip, and I owe this to it.”
