Pakistan defeats Bangladesh in low scoring thriller to take the 1-0 lead in the series

Dhaka : Pakistan overcame a few challenges to win the four-match Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium match in Mirpur.

On Friday, they took a 1-0 leadPakistan finished 128 runs short of the victory.They were at 24/4 in the Powerplay.

With a 56-run stand, Fakhar Zaman & Khushdil Shah kept the ship on its feet.The Bangladesh bowlers made a strong effort, but Shadab Khan & Mohammad Nawaz won the match with stunning 36 runs from just 15 balls.

Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, the opening runners, were both back at the dugout.Rizwan had scored 11 runs while Babar only made 7 runs.

As Pakistan fell to 24/4, it got worse.Shoaib Malik and Haider Ali were out for zero.

Fakhar Zaman (34), and Khushdil Shah (34) saved them, before Shadab (20 not out) or Nawaz (18 not out).They won.Bangladesh had also struggled earlier, but Afif, Nurul Hasan and Mahedi Hasan were able to help them achieve a respectable total on the board of 127/7.Bangladeshs skipper Mahmudullah won toss.

He elected to bat, but his decision was deemed ill-advised.They lost Mohammad Naim to Hasan Ali on the first ball.

Mahedi Hasan hit two sixes, and one four during his unbeaten 30-off 20 deliveries.Bangladesh reached 127/7 within their allotted time.
