Islamabad, Dec 31, : .Geo News reports that Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister has been criticised by netizens for his disrespectful behavior during a meeting with the Saudi Arabian Ambassador.Nawaf bin Al-Malki (Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan), called Qureshi at Islamabad on Tuesday.
According to the report, Qureshi was found sitting cross-legged by many Saudis and the pointer pointed in the direction Al Malki offensive.
Saudi citizens took to Twitter to complain about the minister of Pakistan’s sitting style.
A second angry Saudi citizen posted on social media: “We, the Saudis, don’t accept that Pakistani Foreign Minister insults the Saudi Ambassador this way.”
Qureshi said that Qureshi’s posture of sitting in front of the guest was rude and that he believed the Pakistani minister was intentionally behaving that way.
A Saudi tweet user stated: “Frankly speaking, if I was one of the Saudi Ambassadors, I would’ve left.”
Pakistanis joined the protesting Saudis and condemned the sitting of the Foreign Minister, describing it as “against diplomatic norms”.
