Chennai, Dec 8, 2008 : The teaser for the movie ‘Writer’ has been viewed over a million times on YouTube.It was produced by Pa Ranjith’s Neelam productions and directed by Franklin Jacob, a close associate. It was liked by 51,000 viewers who watched it.
The teaser was released by the unit just a few days ago and has captured the attention not only of film buffs, but also critics, and trade experts.
The film, which stars Samuthirakani as the lead, sheds light on the power structures within the police department.The teaser shows Samuthirakani as a writer in a police station.Samuthirakani uses a powerful dialogue.He said, “In the police force anyone who isn’t in power is a thug.” I am an old thug.You are a new thug.That’s all there is to it.
The film will be released on December 24th.It features music by Govind Vasantha, and cinematography from Pratheep Kaliraja.
The film was jointly produced by Pa Ranjith and Abhayanand Singh, Piiyush S, Aditi Anand, and U.M.Rao.
