New Delhi : , Chinese smartphones brands OnePlus, realme and Vivo had launched smart TVs across India in the last year.Now, a report claims that OPPO is to launch its very own television brand in India. The lineup announcement will probably be made soon.However, first units are expected to hit the marketplace in the first quarter 2022 according to GSMArena.
It already sells a variety of smart TVs in China.The company may unveil one of the models it has in India.
OPPO’s Smart TV K9 series was launched in March of this year.It comes with 3 different sizes: 43-inch (55-inch), 55-inch and 65-inch.
Recently, the company announced in China a Smart TV K9 model with a 75-inch screen.
The new OPPO TV has a 95% screen-to-body ratio and a metal frame.The LED-backlit LCD panel (DLED), with 3840×2160 pixels resolution (4K), 1.07 million colours, 60Hz refresh with MEMC and 300 nits brightness, is standard.
MediaTek MT9652 chipset powers the television.The SoC consists a quad-core ARM Cortex A73 CPU with an ARM Mali G52 MC1 GPU.
Software-wise, ColorOS TV 2.0 supports streaming services in China and Xiaobu(Breeno), voice assistant using far-field microphones.Remote control is NFC enabled.
