Islamabad the 6th of August : PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said on Saturday that the "question" was not about Pakistans soil being used in the US drone strike which killed Al Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahiri and his family, but rather its airspace , as he demanded an official statement from the Ministries.
In an interview with Geo News on Friday night the DG ISPR ruled out the possibility of using Pakistan soil for any purpose, saying there was no possibility of Pakistan soil being used for "such purposes".In a tweet posted on Saturday morning, Chaudhry posted: "The question is whether Pakistans airspace was permitted to be used in a way that was not." "Repetitive statements about the land that Pakistan owns are not clear," Chaudhry continued, insisting that relevant ministries will need to release a formal statement on the issue, Dawn reported. In the press conference held on Friday, Chaudhry asked to know if Pakistans space space was utilized by the US for a drone strike that killed Zawahiri "The nation is interested in knowing if we will become an instrument of the United States against Al Qaeda," he said.
If asked about the issue in Geo News, the DG ISPR stated: "The Foreign Office has clarified the matter in detail. These are all rumours since anyone could write something on social media. We should be wary of this.
Our adversaries, in particular, feeds this kind of information and the (people) are exploitation." san/ .
