“In the last three days, there has been an improvement in Delhi’s pollution levels.

Delhi has now reached the same levels as before Diwali.After Diwali, pollution levels were steadily increasing.

Apart from the usual processes, many restrictions were put in place.Today, we held an overview meeting with the Delhi higher officials, and many important decisions have been taken,” Gopal Rai, Delhi Environment Minister, said in a press conference after a high-level meeting to discuss the measures required to maintain Delhi’s clean air.

“Schools, colleges, institutes and institutions will reopen on Nov 29.All schools, colleges and institutes, as well as libraries, that were closed can reopen on Monday.All government offices will reopen on Monday, November 29th and the work-from home directive will be lifted.

It is recommended that all government employees use public transportation to commute as much as possible.

“There are colonies, such as Timarpur, Gulabi Bagh, and Nimri Colony from which the majority of Delhi government employees travel,” Rai said.

Special buses will be built to make it easier for employees to commute to these places,” Rai stated.He also said that shuttle bus services will be provided from the Delhi Secretariat to ITO Metro stations and Indraprastha Metro stations to employees.

The Environment Minister appealed to the people by saying, “We are opening things, but our fight against polluting will continue.” It is important that everyone cooperates, as together we can reduce pollution further, so Delhi can breathe cleaner air.So far, inspections have been made at 1,221 sites.Construction work has been stopped in 105 locations.

Monday’s ban on construction activities was lifted by the Delhi government after a marginal improvement in the capital’s air quality.

Due to rising levels of pollution in the capital, all schools were closed on November 21st.

The AQI of the capital continued to hover at the upper end of either the’very poor or’severe category since Diwali.

Air quality was deteriorated due to changes in wind direction, stubble burning, and firecracker bursting.

After strong surface winds swept through Delhi on Sunday, Delhi’s air quality was noticeably better.Wednesday’s AQI was recorded at 280 by The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research.
