Bhubaneswar 22 November : .Officials in Boudh said Monday that Odisha police had taken a leopard skin from a suspect in the district of Boudh. Based on reliable information, an Odisha Police Special Task Force (STF), with assistance from forest officials conducted a raid near Kantamal, Boudh district, and seize a leopard skin.
According to the statement by STF, Sachitan Nayak of Kandhamal was identified as the accused.
Two people were arrested by the police after they seized a leopard skin in the same area on November 10.On November 2, another leopard skin was taken by police from Mayurbhanj.
The STF has seize 21 leopard skins in the past year.The STF, the Odisha Police’s specialised wing that is mandated by the government to combat organised crime within the state, was established in 2011.
