Omar calls the detention of family members of two Hyderpora victims ‘outrageous.

Srinagar : Nov 18, 2018 - Omar Abdullah, former Chief Minister of J&K, said Thursday that it was "outrageous" that the J&K administration now allowed the Hyderpora relatives to peacefully protest.

Omar suggested that Governor Manoj Sinha reach out to families in need of the remains of the kin who were killed during the gunfight.This is the Naya Kashmir 2021.

Here is the J&K Police fulfilling @PMOIndias promise to eliminate "dil-ki doori" and Dilli se doorsi.Omar posted that it was shocking that the J&K government did not permit families to hold peaceful sit-in protests.

Ive never seen families that have been wronged act with such dignity.They were reasonable with their demands and dignified in how they behaved.

As the police drag them off in the dark of the night, the results of their actions are obvious.LG @manojsinha should reach out and hear these families in person, then hand over the remains of loved ones.

This is the right thing to take, and its also the most humane.The police detained and expelled the family members of Altaf Ahmad and Mudassir Gul, the two victims in Wednesdays encounter.

Families insist that Altaf Ahmad, Mudassir Guul were not involved in militancy.They demand that their remains be returned.

According to police, four people were killed during the confrontation at Hyderpora.This included a foreign militant named Haider and his accomplice.
