It’s well known that a biopic, titled ‘Thalaivi’, on the life and legacy of yesteryear heroine and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa has been in the news for quite some time and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will be essaying the title role in this ambitious biopic.This film is being directed by popular Tamil director AL.Vijay.
Now recently there was news that Nandamuri Balakrishna and Jr.NTR has been approached by the makers of the film to play legendary NTR’s character in this biopic.But it is said that both the star heroes have politely denied playing the role.It is a known fact the Sr.NTR played a key role in Jayalalitha’s film career in the past.
Now interesting news doing rounds is that the makers have decided to chop off the NTR part in the film and go ahead with the story as no one from the NTR family has come forward to do the role.The film is being produced by ‘NTR’ biopic producer Vishnu Induri with a whopping Rs.100 crore budget in association with Bollywood producer Shaailesh.R.Singh.
Seasoned actors Aravind Swamy and Prakash Raj will be essaying MGR and Karunanidhi respectively in this film.It is said that several Hollywood make-up craftsmen are being hired to get Kangana’s look right and the posters released recently got a good response from the audience.
So, we’ll have to wait and see how the film is going to shape up without NTR’s character!
