You can now use Meta Portal smart displays as second screen with Duet Display

San Francisco, Aug 11 : Tech giant Meta has added support for the Duet Display app, which allows users to switch their Meta Portal Plus (Gen 2) and Meta Portal Go into a second display on Mac or PC, if theyre not in video calls.

To begin users are able to install the Duet Display app on Meta Portal Plus or Portal Go by going to the App Store and clicking Get.Theyll also have to install the Duet Display app on your Mac or PC at duetdisplay.com.The user can drag the open window from Mac or PC into Meta Portal Plus or Portal Go like they would with an additional monitor.The Duet Display app is free in the US, Canada, the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Australia and New Zealand for Meta Portal Plus (Gen 2) and in the US, Canada, the UK, France, Spain and Italy for Meta Portal Go.The macOS Meta Portal Companion app allows users to connect to their touchscreen-based Meta Portal from your Mac which makes it simpler to work across different devices.The widget for call control allows users to connect their computer screen while on a call .Users can quickly gain access to controls for raising hand, mute and alter the volume for Zoom, Workplace and BlueJeans calls on Portal.The Meta Portal Companion also lets users send hyperlinks (meeting links videos, websites, or other videos) for their Portal quickly.
