Thiruvananthapuram : , Nov 30 : , As the world is concerned about the new Covid variant Omicron a high-level meeting was held by Pinarayi Vijayan the Kerala Chief Minister.It decided to increase the Covid protocols as well as to make it clear that people who don’t take vaccines will not be eligible for free treatment.
The meeting also decided to not relax rules because the film industry demanded that theatres be allowed 100 percent seating instead of the current 50 percent.

The latest figures show that 96% of the state’s population over 18 years old have received the first Covid vaccine dose and 63% have received both.

Around 1.4 million people missed the deadline for the second vaccine.All such people must ensure that they receive the second dose as soon as possible, according to the government.

Vijayan stated that those who don’t take vaccines will not be eligible for free Covid treatment at government-run hospitals in a statement following the meeting.

“If people have allergies or other reasons for not taking a vaccination, they will need to submit a medical certificate from a government doctor.He said that government employees who don’t have such a certificate will need to bring a RTPCR test result each week.

Vijayan asked officials to ensure that the second dose of vaccine is given as quickly as possible.He also asked for the Health Department and local authorities to ensure that this happens without any delays.

Wednesday’s warning by the Kerala unit of Indian Medical Association was that Omicron variant could be a third wave.Everyone should be cautious and ensure that everyone follows all accepted standards of sanitation, masks, and social distancing to avoid trouble.
