Windows 11 Insiders get a new Notepad app with dark mode

San Francisco, December 8, 2008 : Tech giant Microsoft started rolling out a new version of its classic Notepad to Windows Insiders on the Dev Channel.

The new Notepad app for Insiders is now available in the Dev Channels latest Windows 11 preview build, 22009.If you are using the test version of the OS but dont see it in your browser, you can check the Microsoft Store for an update.

Microsoft also added multi-step undo to its software.This replaces the old undo system which allowed users to only go back one step.

Windows 11 will allow Chrome, Firefox, and other browsers users to choose their default browser by pressing a single button.August reports claimed that Microsofts forthcoming Windows 11 release will make it more difficult to switch default browsers.

Microsoft released a statement saying, "In the Windows 11 Insider preview build 22509, we simplified the ability for a Windows Insider set the default browser to apps that register to HTTP: HTTPS.,.HTML and.HTML." The tech giant is also showing new prompts to Windows 10/Windows 11 users, dissuading them from installing Googles browser Chrome.Instead, they can install its Edge browser.
