Noida 28 Aug : The twin towers of Noida are scheduled to be demolished on the weekend and will cost about 17 crores.It is the largest construction project to be demolished in the country using explosives.The nine-second procedure will start around 2.30 p.m.The inhabitants of the buildings adjacent to them have been relocated to safer locations.The airspace is shut for 30 minutes.surface traffic is also diverted.
Mumbai-based Edifice Engineering has been hired to manage the project.The button will be operated by Chetan Dutta.
Joe Brinkmann, CEO and managing director of Jet Demolitions, a South African-based business that will be carrying out Supertech’s illegal Twin Towers demolition along with Edifice Engineering and others, said that bringing the twin towers down is among of the most challenging tasks due to the fact that the structure is robust and is located in the seismic zone.
The twin structures, which are made up of 915 flats and sit just nine meters from Emerald Court’s Aster-2 apartment building, are fully equipped with explosives, and wired.
Seven members of Jet Demolitions along with Edifice Engineering will bring down the twin towers with an controlled blast around 2.30 p.m.on the 28th of August (August 28).It will be the highest towers to be destroyed in the entire country.
“We are preparing for the day of the final.We are merely doing checks for the final day to ensure that there aren’t any disturbances.It’s one of the most difficult jobs that we have to complete.The building is solid and is constructed in the seismic zone” Joe Brinkmann said in an interview with the media.
He stated, “But we have designed the plan and implemented it to face the issues.
The course of the blast — the structures will be removed from North from aster-2, moving towards the south, before they collapse”.
He stated that Edifice Engineering department will handle the debris that will be cleaned up in the next three months.
As per the evacuation schedule, more than 55,000 inhabitants of Emerald Court and ATS Village must leave the property at 7.30 a.m.They will be permitted to return after obtaining safety clearance from officials has been obtained.
Edifice Engineering has loaded some 77,000 holes with explosives.
