Patna 19 Aug : With many districts of central and south Bihar suffering from drought, Bihars the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas to assess the situation.

The Bihar chief minister is worried about the drought conditions and conducted the first aerial survey since the creation of the new government.According to an official from the Met department the deficiency in the amount of rainfall in Bihar is at 41 percent this season "We have only registered 30 percent of rainfall in Bihar during this monsoon, which is 41 percent lower than the norm.

The official also said that the planting of paddy saplings has already started in the most districts.They are awaiting the rain to fall.
