Nishchal beats Tejaswini, Anjum in T2 3P trials

New Delhi, Jan 12 : Haryanas Nishchal won the T2 womens 50m rifle 3 positions (3P) trials, outgunning a field that included Olympic quota holders Anjum Moudgil and Tejaswini Sawant at the Karni Singh Shooting range in Delhi on Tuesday.Nishchal shot 459.

1 to best T1 winner Tejaswini, who had to settle for second place with a score of 458.1.Nishchal had earlier finished third in T1 womens 3P.Tejaswini still managed to beat fellow quota holder Anjum Moudgil for a second time in two days.Anjum finished third with an effort of 447.8 in the finals.The day also saw the commencement of the T1 trap trials.

Lakshay Sheoran and Rajeshwari Kumari were leading after the first three rounds of Day 1, in the mens and womens sections respectively.Aakash Khushwaha and Kirti Gupta were ahead in the junior mens and womens sections.
