Nick Offerman will play Bill in the series ‘Last Of Us.’

Los Angeles, December 8, 2008 : Hollywood actor Nick Offerman has been cast as Bill in the recasting HBO series "The Last Of Us"Con ONeill was previously announced for the guest star role.

However, according to someone with knowledge of the situation, he was forced out of the show by a scheduling conflict.

Offerman will play Bill, while Murray Bartlett will portray Frank.They are two post-pandemic survivors living in isolation in their isolated town.

The HBO series is based on the popular PlayStation videogame of the same title.It takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed by a deadly disease called fungus.

Joel, a tough survivor, is hired by Ellie to smuggle her out of an oppressive quarantine area.As they travel across the US, what starts out as a simple job quickly becomes a difficult, heartbreaking journey that will leave them both dependent on each other for survival.

Gabriel Luna plays Joels brother Tommy, Nico Parker plays Joels daughter Sarah, while Merle Dandridge returns to her video game role as Marlene, the leader and fighter against the governments military dictatorship.Perhaps his most famous role is that of Ron Swanson in the comedy series "Parks and Recreation", on which he starred seven seasons.

He and his Parks and Rec star Amy Poehler co-host the competition series "Making It", for which they have been nominated to receive two Emmy Awards as best hosts of a reality show.Other recent TV credits for Offerman include Devs’ and Colin In Black & White at Netflix.
