Raj’s media advisors are not eligible for any cabinet rank.

Jaipur, Nov 29, : In the face of the ongoing controversy over the appointment six MLAs to advisory posts, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot clarified that none would be given the status of a minister of state or cabinet minister.

" The Chief Minister stated that we have not yet issued an order regarding the advisors as we dont want unnecessary controversy."But if someone gives me advice, what is the problem? He said that he could take advice from anyone on any topic and could make any journalist, litterateur, or other person my advisor." The Chief Ministers statement suggests that the appointment of Parliamentary Secretaries could also be in danger.

It is important to mention that six MLAs have been appointed by the CM as media advisors.These were the people who were unhappy because they couldnt get cabinet berths.

The Rajasthan BJP opposed the appointment of six media advisors to Chief Minster Ashok Gehlot, and called it unconstitutional.Dr Rajkumar Sharma and Dr Jitendra Sharma were appointed media advisors.Dr Abrar was also appointed.

Rajendra Rathore, BJP deputy leader in opposition, said that these positions were unconstitutional.He has written a letter asking Governor Kalraj Mishra to raise questions about the appointments.

Rathore has actually warned against taking this matter to court.He stated that the CM had simply distributed posts to please the dissatisfied faction.
