Wellington, Dec 1, : .New Zealand reported Wednesday that there were 146 new cases of Covid-19 Delta variant in their community.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 8,574. According to the Ministry of Health, 124 new infections were reported in Auckland, 14 in Waikato, four in Bay of Plenty, four in Nelson Marlborough and fourteen in Auckland.
According to a Ministry statement, 83 patients are currently being treated in hospitals.Nine of them are in high dependency units or intensive care units.
The Health Ministry reported that there are currently 11,353 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand, according to Xinhua news agency.
It said that 93% of eligible New Zealanders have received their first dose, and that 86 percent are fully vaccinated.
